Correct Question

If alpha and beta are the zeroes of the polynomial x^2+5x+6 . From the polynomial whose zeroes are

  1. 1/alpha ^2 and 1/ beta^2
  2. alpha - beta
  3. alpha + beta

Replacing

\alpha=A\rightarrow\beta=B

Given

A polynomial x²+8x+6

whose Zeroes are A and B

To Find

  • 1/A²+ 1/B²
  • A-B
  • A+B

Solution

x²+5x+6

=>x²+3x+2x+6

=>x(X+3)+2(X+3)

=>(X+2) (X+3)

Zeroes are X=-2,-3

Now

A= -2

B= -3

we know that

  • A+B= -b/a
  • A+B= -5

  • AB = c/a
  • =6

Now

1/A²+ 1/B²

=>A²+B²/A²B²

=>-5/36

  • A-B = -2 - (-3)

= 1
