Given:
α and β are the zeroes of the polynomial 2x² - 5x + 3.
- a = 2
- b = - 5
- c = 3
To find out:
Find the value of 1/2α + 1/2β ?
Solution:
★Sum of zeroes :
α + β = -b/a
⇒ - ( - 5 ) / 2
⇒ 5/2
Now,
1/2 α + 1/2 β
⇒ 1/2 ( α + β )
⇒ 1/2 ( 5/2 )
⇒ 1/2 × 5/2
⇒ 5/4
