In any quadratic equation there is a simple relation between the zeroes of the polynomial and there coefficient of the polynomial of each term
Here,
alpha + beta that is the sum of the roots of the equation will -5.

Because,
if any quadratic polynomial has a and b as it's roots then
a+b = -coefficient of x / coefficient of x^2.
