If alpha and beta are the zeroes of x2 - 5x + 4 ,then find all quadratic polynomials f(x)=x2-5x+4 find the value of α2+β2

Answer:

alpha+beta= -b/a

= +5/1

alpha×beta= c\a

=4/1

(a+b)^2=a^2+b^2+2×a×b

So (a+b)^2-2×a×b

We Know A+B=5

And A×B=4

a^2+b^2= (5)^2-2×(4)

=25-8

=17
