HERE IS YOUR ANSWER:

GIVEN: alpha and beta are the zeroes of p(x) x^2-5x+m

alpha-beta=1

TO FIND= alpha and beta

we know that sum of zeroes(alpha +beta)= -b/a

=5/1=5

now, alpha-beta=1----(1)

and alpha+beta=5-----(2)

alpha=5-beta

putting value of alpha in equation (2)

5-beta-beta=1

-2beta=1-5

-2beta=-4

beta=4/2

beta=2

alpha=5-beta=5-2=3

alpha=3
