If alpha and beta are the zeros of th polynomial f(x) =x^2-p(x+1)-c, show that (alpha+beta)(beta+1)=1-c

(α+β)(β+1)=αβ+α+β^2+β............(1)
from eqn
x^2-px-p-c=0
αβ=-(p+c)
α+β=p
put this in(1)
