if alpha and beta are the zeros of the polynomial 2 x square - 4 x + 5 and find value of alpha + beta​

2x²-4x+5=0

alpha + beta = -b/a= -(-4)/2= 2

alphabeta = 5/2

i) alpha²+beta² = (alpha +beta)²-2alpha beta

(2)²-2×(5/2)

=4-5

=1

ii)(alpha-beta)² = (alpha + beta)²-4alpha beta

(2)²-4×(5/2)

=4-10

= -6
