if alpha and beta are the zeros of the polynomial P of X equal 4x2 - 12 x + 9 then find the value of alpha + beta - 3 alpha beta​

  • here : a = 4 , b = -12 , c = 9
  • α+β = -b/a = -(-12)/4 = 12/4 = 3
  • αβ = c/a = 9/4
  • then ,
  • α+β - 3(αβ) = 3 - 3(9/4) = 3 - 27/4 = (12-27)/4 = -15/4
