P(x) = x²-2x+ 1

α and β are the zeros of the polynomial. (given)

two roots of P(x) is = -1,-1 = α = β

did you mean this ( try to use bracket ,next time)

 \frac{1}{ \alpha }  +  \frac{ \beta  + 1}{ \beta }

 \frac{1}{  - 1 }  +  \frac{  - 1  + 1}{  - 1 }

= -1
