if alpha and beta are the zeros of the polynomial P(X) = X square + X - 6 then find the value of 1 by Alpha square + 1 by beta square

Given : P(x) ==> x² + x - 6 = 0

==> x² + 3x -2x - 6 = 0

==> x(x + 3) -2(x + 3) = 0

==> (X + 3)(X - 2) = 0

==>x = -3 or x = 2

Therefore,

α² + β² = (-3)² + (2)²

==> 9 + 4 = 13

is the required answer ^_^
