f(x) = x^2 + x + 1

alpha + beeta = -b/a     and             alpha * beeta = c/a

= -1/1 = -1                         and            = 1/1 = 1

sum of reciprocals = 1/alpha + 1/beta

=  alpha + beta / alpha * beta

= -1 / 1

= -1

hope this helps u.............
