4

alpha+beta=5

alpha-beta= -1

2alpha = 4

alpha = 2

beta = 3

alpha.beta = k

Hence,

k= 6

ayu856: From equation, you can take out the sum and product of zeroes, which are alpha + beta and alpha*beta. From the equation these values are given to you. Sum of zeroes is (-b/a) and product is c/a where a,b,c are coefficients of the equation. You have given one more equation which is alpha - beta = -1. Now you can take out the values of alpha and beta
