p(x) = x²-5x+8

To Find :

The sum of alpha and beta.

And the product of alpha and beta.

Solution :

$\alpha \: \times \beta = \frac{constant \: term}{coefficient \: of \: x} \\ \\ = 8$

$\alpha + \beta = \frac{ - \: coefficient \: of \: {x}^{2} }{coeffiient \: of \: x \: } \\ \\ = 5$
