if alpha and beta are the zeros of x²+5x+8 then find 1\alpha +1\beta

⭐Solution⭐

given equations

x²+5x+8=0........(1)

let alpha = a and beta = b,

so, these are zeros equations (1) .

so,

sum of zeros = -(coefficient of x)/(coefficient of x2)

(a+b) = -5/1

(a+b) = -5 ...(2)

and,

product of zeros = constant part /(coefficient of x2)

ab = 8....(3)

so,

1/a + 1/b

= (a+b)/(ab)

keep value by (2) and (3)

we get,

= (-5)/8

= -5/8

Thats answer
