SOLUTION:-

So,

(α+β)(β+α) = 0

=> Either one of them must be zero

=> (α +β) = 0

As we know,

α + β = $\frac{-b}{a}$

Here, the eq. is

x² -a(x+1)b

= x² - abx + ab

So,

α + β = -(-ab)/1

0 = ab

=> either one of them is zero.

=> b = 0
