If alpha and beta are zeroes of a quadratic polynomial 4x^2 + 4x + 1, then form a quadratic polynomial whose zeroes are 2alpha and 2 beta

Answer:

Sum of zeroes = alpha +beta =-b/a =-1

Product of zeroes =alphabeta =c/a=1/4

Sum of zeroes for new quadratic equation =2alpha +2beta

2(alpha+beta)= -2

Product of zeroes = 2(alphabeta) =1/2

Quadratic equation is

Xsquare- (sum of zeroes)x +product of zeroes

Xsquare +2x + 1/2

2xsquare +4x +1=0
