If alpha and beta are zeroes of polynomial p(X)=x^2-5x+6, then find the value of alpha+beta-3*alpha*beta

We have a polynomial

x^2 - 5x+ 6

Now

If alpha beta are roots of this pol.

So sum of roots,,

Alpha +beta =5

And product of roots

Alpha. Beta =6

So put in given identity

Alpha + beta - 3alpha beta

5-3*6

=- 13
