p(x)=x^2-(k+6)x+2(2k+-1)
alpha beta=c/a=4k-2
it is given that alpha beta=alpha beta/2
4k-2=4k-2/2
4k-2=2k-1
2k=1. => k=1/2.........
hope it helps......
