We know that,
Sum of roots = -b/a

Here ,
Sum of roots = -(-5)/1 = 5 .
( α + β ) = 5 .

Also,
( α - β ) = 1 .


Now, Add-ing the above, We get it's α = 3 .

Also, β = 2 .

Now, The quadratic equation = x²-(3+2)x+6 = x²-5x + 6 .

So, By comparison k = 6 .
