αβ=k/6

(α-β)²=1/36                     (given α-β=1/6)

α²+β²-2αβ=1/36         ......(1)

(α+β)²=25/36

α²+β²+2αβ=25/36

α²+β²=25/36-2k/6

keep this value in eq 1 to get,

25/36-2k/6-2k/6=1/36

24/36=4k/6

k=1

hence your answer is 1.
