Answer:

4x^2- 5x - 1 = 0

4x^2 - x - 4x -1 = 0

x (4x-1) - 1 (4x-1) = 0

x-1 = 0 (or) 4x-1 = 0

x = 1 or x = 1/4

So Alpha (A)= 1 Beta(B) = 1/4

Now, A^2B + AB^2

= 1^2 + 1/4 + 1^2 +(1/4)^2

= 5/4 + 17/4

=22/4 = 11/2
