P(x) = x^2 + x - 2
alpha + beta = - b /a = - 1/1 = - 1
alpha × beta = c/a = - 2/ 1 = - 2
Now,
1/ alpha + 1 / beta
= ( alpha + beta) / alpha × beta
= ( - 1) / (-2)
= 1/ 2
alpha + beta = - b /a = - 1/1 = - 1
alpha × beta = c/a = - 2/ 1 = - 2
Now,
1/ alpha + 1 / beta
= ( alpha + beta) / alpha × beta
= ( - 1) / (-2)
= 1/ 2
