if alpha and bita are the zeroes of polynomial 2x*x-3x+k than find the values of k such that alpha's spuare +bita's spuare =50

Solution:

α and β are zeroes of polynomial

2x^2 -3x + k

THEN
α+β = -b/a => 3/2 , αβ = c/a => k/2

⇒ (α+β)² = (3/2)²

⇒ α²+ β²+ 2αβ = 9/4

⇒ 50 + 2k/2=9/4

⇒ k = 9/4 - 50

K => (9-200)/4
K=> -191/4 Ans
