given:

alpha and bita are zeros of polynomial 5x^2+5x+1

a=5,b=5,c=1

alpha +beta=-b÷a=-5÷5=-1

alpha ×beta=c÷a=1÷5

a^2+b^2=(a+b)^2-2ab

=(-1)^2-2×1/5

=1-2/5

=3/5
