Taking alpha = A

Beta = B

{\tt{\red{\underline{\large{Given}}}}}

  • x²+5x+2 is a polynomial
  • where A and B is its zeros

{\sf{\green{\underline{\large{To\:find}}}}}

  • A²+B²

{\sf{\pink{\underline{\Large{Explanation}}}}}

We know that

=>A + B = -b/a = -5

=>AB = c/a = 2

Now solving A²+B²

  • (A+B)² = A²+B² + 2AB

_______________________________

=>(A+B)² = A²+B² + 2AB

=>(-5)² = A²+B²+2×2

=>25=A²+B²+4

=>A²+B²=21

Hence value A²+B² is 21
