Step-by-step explanation:

x2-7x+p

a=1, b= -7 , c=p

alpha+beta= -b/a = -(-7) / 1 = 7

alpha ×beta =c/a = p/1 =p

alpha2+beta2 =( alpha+beta)2 - 2 (alpha× beta)

= (7×7) - 2( p)

= 49-2p

or if a2+b2 then it is equal to (a+b)2-2ab
