if AM and GM of two values are 10 and 8 respectively, find those two values.

Let the number be a and b

AM = a + b /2 = 10


a+ b = 20


GM = √ ab = 8

ab = 64



now

a+ b = 20

ab = 64

a - b = √ ( a+ b )² - 4ab

=> √ 20² -4× 64

√ 400 - 256

=> 12


a- b = 12


and a+ b = 20



a = 16



b = 4
