Step-by-step explanation:

6x²+x -2 =0

6x²+ ( 4-3)x -2=0

6x² + 4x -3x -2=0

2x( 3x+2) -1 ( 3x+2)=0

(2x-1) (3x+2)=0

2x-1=0 ; 3x+2 =0

  • 2x=1 ;3x= -2

alpha =1/2 ; beta = -2/3

we know that

( alpha-beta) ²= (alpha + beta)- 4(alpha × beta)

= (1/2+ (-2/3))-4 × -2/6

= 2/3× -2/6= -1/3
