Answer:

Let,

no.of cashew trees=x

no.of mango trees=3x

no.of coconut trees=5x       (∵ they are in the ratio 1:3:5)

then, by the given,

x+3x+5x=3618

9x=3618

⇒x=402

No .of mango trees=3x=3×402=1206 mango trees

∴Your answer is a)1206 mango trees

Answer:

a) 1206 mango trees

Step-by-step explanation:

total no. of trees = 3618

we will take the ratio into x form,

no. of cashew nut = 1x = x

no. of mango = 3x

no. of coconut = 5x

summing all the numbers

x + 3x + 5x = 9x

now we will divide the actual no. of trees given and total no of x,

3618 = 9x

x = 3618/9

x = 402 (this is

now that we got that number, multiply the ratio of trees and the total x,

actual no. of mango tree = 3 x 402

                                          = 1206
