if an air cushion can be introduced between the wheel and the rails, what effectwill it have on the friction?

Yes.introduction of air cushion between the wheel and the rails decreases the friction....and there is a possibility that train may slip off.weight is a factor.if weight of train is more then there is approximately no effect.thank u.it was fun
