If an angle is 18 less than its complement find the angle

Answer:

Let the measure of angle be x°.

It's compliment = (90 - x )°.

According to the question ;

x = ( 90 - x ) - 18

⇒ x + x = 90 - 18

⇒ 2x = 72

⇒ x = \sf \dfrac{72}{2}

⇒ x = 36

Therefore,

x = 36°

And, it's compliment = 54°.
