Given :-

An angle is 28° less than its complement.

To Find :-

The measure of the angle which is 28° less than its complement.

Analysis :-

Consider the angle of measure as x and then the other angle would be x + 28.

Make an equation and find the value of the variable accordingly.

Solution :-

Let the angle of measure as 'x' and then the other angle would be 'x + 28'.

We know that,

Sum of complementary angles = 90°

Making an equation,

\sf x + (x + 28) = 90

\sf 2x + 28 = 90

By transposing 28,

\sf 2x = 90 - 28

\sf 2x = 62

Finding the value of x,

\sf x=\dfrac{62}{2}

\sf x=31^{o}

Therefore, the measure of the angle is 31°
