let smaller angle = x

larger one = y

we've got 2 equations.

x + y = 180

2x - 60 = y which can b written as 2x - y = 60

ADD THEM

x + y = 180

+ 2x - y = 60

x = 80 degrees

X is smaller angle. Hence smaller angle = 80 degrees
