\sf\large\underline{Let:}

  • \rm{The\: cost\: price\:of\: article=x}

\sf\large\underline{To\: Find:}

  • \rm{The\: cost\: price\:of\: article=?}

\sf\large\underline{Solution:}

\sf\underline{Given\:here:}

  • \rm{The\: article\:is\:sold\:at\:a\: profit\:15\%}
  • \rm{instead\:of\:9\%\:the\: person\:get\:Rs.60\:more}

\rm{\implies SP=\dfrac{100+G\%}{100}\times\:CP}

\rm{\implies SP=\dfrac{100+15}{100}\times\:x}

\rm{\implies SP=\dfrac{115x}{100}}

\rm{\implies SP=\dfrac{100+G\%}{100}\times\:CP}

\rm{\implies SP=\dfrac{100+9}{100}\times\:x}

\rm{\implies SP=\dfrac{109x}{100}}

\sf\large\underline{A.T.Q:}

\rm{\implies \dfrac{115x}{100}=\dfrac{109x}{100}+60}

\rm{\implies \dfrac{115x}{100}-\dfrac{109x}{100}=60}

\rm{\implies \dfrac{115x-109x}{100}=60}

\rm{\implies \dfrac{6x}{100}=60}

\rm{\implies 6x=60\times\:100}

\rm{\implies 6x=6000}

\rm{\implies x=1000}

\sf\large{Hence,}

\rm{\implies The\:cost\: price\:of\:the\: article=Rs.1000}
