Let the list price be x.
Discount %=10%
.: Discount=x×10%=x/10
Price after discount =x-(x/10)=9x/10
But, given price after discount =₹450
=>9x/10=450
=>9x=4500
=>x=4500/9=500
.: The list price of the article is ₹500. (Ans.)

List price of an article is Rs.500/-

Step-by-step explanation:

Suppose that, the Market price of a article is Rs.100/-

Selling price of an article = Rs.450/-

10 % discount on marketing price,

Then,

90 % = 450

100 % = \frac{450}{90}\times 100

100 % = \frac{45000}{90}

100 % = 500

List price of an article is Rs.500/-
