Answer:

Let the CP of the article be x

Then, According to the problem,

The SP if the article is sold at 50% Loss = x - 50% of x

= 0.5x

SP if the article is sold at 50% profit = x + 50% of x

= 1.5 x

the difference between both the cases (i.e. 1.5x - 0.5x = 1x) is 2280

therefore we get x = 2280

Hence C.P of the article is 2280
