No it does not carry any charge.

Explanation:

An atom always have protons,neutrons and it is surrounded by a cloud of electrons.Protons always possess positive charge,Electrons always possess negative charge while neutron do not possess any charge(neutral).

So when an atom contains 1 positive charge (1 proton) and 1 negative charge (1 electron) it do not carry any charge.That is,it is neutral.
