if an atom is in ground state then less energy is required to remove an electron from it .why?

Because at ground state atom is stable it becomes easy to add or remove electron in valance shell.

Ground state is lower energy state while excited state is higher energy state. We know that electrons flow from low energy level to high energy level in every electrical system. This is the only reason why lesser energy is required to remove electron from ground level atom.
