if an complement of an angle is 1/4 of its supplement then find the angle

Let angle be x.

Now,

Complement of angle will be 90-x .

And, Supplement of the angle = 180- x.

As per the question,

90-x = 1/4(180-x)

4(90-x) = 180-x

360 - 4x = 180 - x

3x = 180

x = 60.

So, the required angle will be 60°.

Now according to question

90 - x =  \frac{1}{4} (180 - x)

90 - x = 45 -  \frac{1}{4}x

90 - 45 =  -  \frac{1}{4}x  + x

⏩⏩
45 =    \frac{3}{4} x

⏩⏩
3x = 4 \times 45

⏩⏩x=60°
