total valid votes =65℅
votes declared invalid=8℅
no.of valid votes=600000×65÷100
=390000
no.of invalid votes=600000×8÷100
=48000
no.of valid votes polled in favour=390000-48000
=342000

Total \: Votes = 600000 \\ \\ Votes \: Declared \: Valid = 100 - 8\% \: of \: 600000 \\ \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: = \frac{92}{100} \times 600000 \\ \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: = 92 \times 6000 \\ \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: = 552000 \\ \\ Now, \\ \: \: \: \: Candidate \: got = 65\% \: of \: Valid \: Votes \\ \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: = \frac{65}{100} \times 552000 \\ \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: = 358800
