Given :

Voltage ( V ) = 220 v

Current ( I ) = 0.5 A

By Ohm's Law :

V = I R

==> R = V / I

= 220 v / O.5 A

= 220 v / 1 / 2 A

= 220 v × 2 A

= 440 Ω

Answer :

The resistance is 440 Ω

Hope it helps !

We know the general formula,

V= IR where, V is the potential difference

                      I is the current flowing through circuit

                      R is the Resistance provided by circuit.

therefore, finding R,

R= \frac{V}{I}

R= \frac{220}{0.5}

R = 440 Ohm.
