We know,

Power=work done per unit time

Work done=mgh

                =m×9.8×40

                 =392m

Power=100m ÷ time

4900=100m ÷ 60 second

4900 × 60 ÷ 100 = m

750 kg = m (mass)

Hence,pump can raise 750 kg water per minute up to 40 m height.
