Answer :- Option (C)

Solution :-

Given in the question that the event has an even chance of occuring, which means It has a 50% chance of occuring, Meaning, Equal possibilities.

For Example:-

When we toss a coin, We have an even chance of getting a head or a tail, that's why It is used to decide who would start the game in a Cricket match, Football match, because each team leader has equal percentage of chances.

In, Our case, It must be 0.5 , because:

  • 0 : 0 can't be the probability of an event which has an even chance of occuring. It is for impossible events.
  • 1 : Again, 1 can't be the answer because It is a sure event.
  • 0.5 : It is the answer because The probability is 0.5 or 50% which means The event has an even chance of occuring.
  • 0.75 : Can't be the answer because The chance of occuring is uneven.

More Information :-

◉ Probability of an event can't be negative or greater than 1.

Probability = Number of Favourable Outcomes / Number of Possible outcomes
