if an examination 65% of the candidates passed in English 65% in mathematics and 27% failed in both subjects what percentage of students passed in both subjects

Find the percentage of students that passed at least one:

100 - 27 = 73%


Find the percentage of student that passed both:

65 + 65 - 73 = 57%


Answer: 57% of the students passed both subjects

Finding the percentage of students that passed atleast one

100 - 27 = 73 %

Finding the percentage of students that passed both

63 + 65 - 73 = 55% .
