If an external force does 375 J of work in compressing a spring, how much work is done by the spring itself?

by Newton third law of motion ,spring exert same force but in opposite direction. On the other hand , spring want remain in original state so it cover same displacement but in opposite direction.

from above force exerted by spring and displacement is same but both are negative. So

-F*-D=FD=375
