Given:- An inclined plane which is 2m high and its length is 5m

To Find:- The inclination at which the plane is inclined

Solution:-

  • we have perpendicular value i.e. 2m and hypotenuse value is 5m now we have to find the base value by using Pythagoras theorem as it is shown in the picture

                  (BC)^2= (AB)^2 +(AC)^2

                (AB)^2= (BC)^2-(AC)^2

                           =  (5)^2 - (2)^2

               (AB)=√25-4 = √21

  •     Now  For finding the inclination

          tanФ= AC/AB

           tanФ= 2/√21  = 2/4.58 = 0.436

             Ф= tan^-1(0.436) = 0.411°

So the Inclination will be Ф = 0.411°          Ans
