Position of the image : +24 cm

Nature : Real, Inverted & Diminished

Height : -14 cm

Explanation:

u = -12 cm

f = +8 cm

h = +7 cm

By using lens formula,

1/v - 1/u = 1/f

1/v = 1/f+1/u

1/v = 1/8 + (-1/12)

1/v = 3-2/24

1/v = 1/24

v = 24 cm

Now, m = v/u

m = 24/(-12)

m = -2

Again, m = h'/h

-2 = h'/7

h' = 7*(-2)

h' = -14 cm
