Given

  • Initial velocity (u) = 10m/s
  • Final velocity (v) = 30m/s
  • time taken (t) = 5s

Find out

  • Acceleration of an object (a)

Solution

According to first equation of motion

➟ v = u + at

➟ 30 = 10 + a × 5

➟ 30 - 10 = 5a

➟ 20 = 5a

➟ a = 20/5

➟ a = 4 m/s²

Additional Information

  • s = ut + ½ at² {2nd equation of motion}

  • v² = u² + 2as {3rd equation of motion}

  • Acceleration → The rate of change in velocity.
