Originally Answer: If an object has zero momentum, does it have kinetic energy? Since, the velocity is 0 we caninfer that the object is at rest. We know that, kinetic energy is the energypossessed by the body when it ismotion. Therefore, we can conclude that an object having 0 momentum would have 0 kinetic energy.

Hey!!
Here is your answer..

Yes, It has a kinetic energy.

We know that,
Momentum = mass × change in velocity.

Kinetic energy=  \frac{1}{2} \times mass \times velocity {}^{2}

Thus,
Momentum = 0 when change in velocity is zero.
But, kinetic energy can never be 0 even if it is in motion.

✔️Momentum is a vector Quantity.
That is it has both magnitude and direction.
✔️ Kinetic energy is a scalar quantity.
That is it has only magnitude and no direction.
Hence, If an object has 0 momentum, it always have kinetic energy.

This is the answer .
I hope it helps you.
