ANSWER:
SPEED = VELOCITY
GIVEN:
A object is moving along the side of a square.
Side of square = 20m
TO FIND:
Speed and velocity in completing two adjacent side of square.
SOLUTION:
FOR SPEED:
Distance travelled in completing two adjacent side of square = 20+20 = 40 m
Time taken to complete = 20 sec
Formula
Putting the values we get
FOR VELOCITY:
- Displacement when completing the two adjacent side of square = Diagonal of square.
- Diagonal of square : √2(side)
- Displacement = √2*20 = 20√2 m= 28.3 m
- Time taken to cover 28.3m = 14.15 ( Distance/Speed = Time ; 28.3/2 = 14.15)
Formula:
Putting the values we get
